STAMP Revisited Independent Mental Health Advocacy Service

More Funding is Secured

We are pleased to announce that we have secured £30,000 towards the funding of our Advocate for Volunteers & Training who recruits and trains Volunteers to support our full time staff with the large number of beneficiaries we have contact with, which exceeded 6,400 in 2011 (of which over 500 were one-to-one crisis and complex needs cases) and increases annually.   This funding, which came from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, is to spread over two years.  We are extremely grateful for the generosity and interest of the Foundation as, in the current financial climate, funding is not easy to secure.

Although this grant is a little short of our required budget, it will open doors with other smaller funders to make up the difference

It is much easier to request smaller amounts of funding from people and we have a lot of irons in the fire to hopefully cover this shortfall.

We are also happy to announce that we have secured £5,000 from The Evan Cornish Foundation. This money will go towards other shortfalls and the general running costs of the organisation.
